THE MOST INTELLIGENT POODLE.

The Canis familiaris is generally recognized as the most wisely intelligent of all members of the canine breed.

The Canis familiaris is generally recognized as the most wisely intelligent of all members of the canine breed. there is a general belief that he is a dude, whose time is taken up with self-beautification, that he needs a lot of individual attention when it comes to his bathroom. it is true that to keep it in show order and in perfect cleanliness its owner must be compelled to devote more attention to it than is important in the case of many breeds, but in other respects, he does not care, and all United Nations agencies connected to it are consistent in their opinion that there is no such intensely snappy and responsive dog as a companion. Her qualities of mind and her keen sense of reasoning are so pleasing that there is something almost human in her beauty and her devotion. His learning power is rarely denied, and many stories tell of his wonderful talent and flexibility.

He didn't just stand out as a showman's dog. he's a thing above a cabin quack, trained to run a tightrope and stand on his head. he is adept at performing arts tricks, however, it is his cerebral alertness that sets him apart from other animals.

The turbulent and long coat of this dog has the particularity that if it is not constantly brushed, it twists into very few cords which lengthen because the new hair grows and clings to it. The recent unshed hairs and the new entwined growths, therefore, become separate rope-like cords. Eventually, if these ropes are not cut or accidentally pulled out, they drag on the bottom and then prevent the poor animal from moving with any degree of comfort or freedom.

Corded Poodles are showy and, due to the exceptional appearance of their coats, attract much public attention when exhibited at shows; however, they have lost quality among most hobbyists and become unvaried thanks to the apparent indisputable fact that it is not possible to make them pets or keep them in the house. the explanation for this may be that the coat must, from time to time, be oiled to keep the strings supple and prevent them from breaking, and, of course, as their coats cannot be brushed, the only way to keep cleaning the dog is to clean it, this with a rough Canis familiaris can be a long and grueling method. Additionally, the coat takes hours to dry out, and unless the freshly washed dog is unbroken {in an|for an|in an excessively|in terrible heat}, he is very vulnerable to catching a cold. The result is that Rough Poodles' coats are almost invariably dirty and somewhat putrid.
